Among its core capabilities, Adaptive Delivery enables email systems managers to segregate and manage mail streams by different types of email or sender, customer segment, domain or other criteria. As such, it becomes possible to segment higher-risk mail streams from lower-risk ones, making it easier for ISPs on the receiving end to determine and assign each mail stream's unique reputation. In this way, businesses can decide what works best for managing outbound email, and optimize sending practices and results for each stream.

Adaptive Delivery also features real-time message decision-making capabilities. It can capture, interpret and act on data to proactively manage delivery automatically and in real time. The solution auto-tunes delivery parameters – throttle, retry rates and cadence, and suspensions – based on individual mail streams and ISP disposition results happening in real time. Additionally, alerts are sent when a mailing encounters a block, high bounce rates or other issues, and summarizes actions that can be readily reviewed and initiated to resolve problems. Adaptive Delivery rules are continually refreshed through the Message System Live Update Service, and are configurable for unique business needs.

What makes Adaptive Delivery a real game changer is the availability of Smart Threshold Management in this version. With Smart Threshold Management companies can now avoid the two most toxic conditions that lead to blocks and damaged reputations – spam complaints and hard bounce events, such as 'invalid recipient/unknown user.' They can also suspend mailings or throttle down traffic based on different threshold rules, and those rules are configurable to their specific requirements. Like everything else in Adaptive Delivery, Smart Threshold Management is fully automated, optimizing mail delivery based on real time results on a per-send/per-mail stream basis.

    Enables senders to segment and manage outbound email – by type of mail, client or business unit, customer segment, domain/sub-domain, or other parameter. The delivery parameters for sends from each mail stream are treated and tuned separately for optimal results.

    Set different actions for different threshold levels to detect and act on potential security breaches too.
  • Real-Time Message Decision-Making, Alerts and Reporting
    Capture, interpret and act on data to proactively manage delivery in real time. Auto-generated alerts ping the user when issues arise that require immediate attention; all system actions are summarized for subsequent review.
  • Real-Time Traffic Shaping
    Adjust for domain-specific rules or limits, changing requirements and deferral responses as they happen, with automated traffic shaping that sends every message with an individual set of rules tuned specifically for its unique sending environment.
  • Live Rule Updates
    Stay up to date with the latest ISP rules, policies, bounce and error codes. System rules are continually refreshed, automatically downloaded and installed through the Message System Live Update Service.
