COLUMBIA, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Message Systems, the industry leader in messaging technology solutions, today announced remarkable growth in 2010, achieving a 28 percent revenue increase over 2009. The company continued to close substantial deals with some of the world’s largest brands in the social networking, wireless carrier, marketing service provider and hosting company markets, while posting significant client wins in new verticals, such as financial services and travel/hospitality.
“2010 was a tremendous year for Message Systems as we successfully executed on an accelerated plan for growth,” said George Schlossnagle, CEO of Message Systems. “Introducing strategic digital messaging products and expanding into new vertical markets and regions, we are well positioned to help our clients leverage multi-channel messaging solutions to realize the benefits of message convergence.”
A strategic investment from NewSpring Ventures accelerated Message Systems’ ability to bring to market key products while simultaneously enabling international growth in Europe and Asia Pacific. New products introductions included: Mobile Momentum, the industry’s first single-platform solution that enables multi-channel communications by sending and receiving SMS messages and dynamically transforming them to/from email based on customer preferences and company rules; Message Central, a single integrated message origination solution for creating, deploying and managing email communications that is adaptable to client operating environments; and Adaptive Delivery, a unique solution for real-time auto tuning of email delivery parameters for improved delivery results, reputation protection and management cost savings.
Continuing its successful partnership with Symantec under the Service Provider Next Gen Initiative, Message Systems also delivered Edge of Network/Next Gen, the next generation of threat protection for service providers that enables dynamic application of real-time intelligence sharing for greater effectiveness, responsiveness and operational efficiency.
In the U.S. market, the company continued its dominance of the social network and email/marketing service provider markets, posting new client relationships in each, such as with market leaders Epsilon and Alterian. A number of innovative, e-centric companies, like Marketbright, also chose Message Systems technology to power their cloud solutions. Additionally, significant inroads were made in the financial services and travel/hospitality markets by closing deals with major players in each.
In Europe, Message Systems expanded relationships with clients such as ContactLab, a leading Italian provider of digital marketing, by enabling converged sms/email messaging. It also forged new relationships, such as with Netlog, an online European youth community with more than 71 million members. In the Asia Pacific region, 21CN, one of the largest ISPs in China, as well as a broadband and mobile value-added service provider, selected Message Systems to enhance security of the email platform for one of the world’s largest telecommunications providers. The company also added to its client roster Japan’s leading email service provider as well as the largest localized deal-of-the-day online shopping network in Brazil.
