Message Systems the market leader in Advanced Message Management Solutions is looking for an energetic Sales Manager to drive revenue creation into our North American Service Provider sales organization. The role requires a proven sales manager with an ability to lead with results and be self-managed with focus on value/consultative sales. The candidate should have a personal desire to build an account base and input energy and commitment to the success of the division.

Utilizing a proven structured mentality in strategic account management in conjunction with advanced negotiation skills will be key to extending the companies success in this space and market making as the organization grows into new areas.

For over 11 years Message Systems has established itself as the leader in high performance Message Management Software that has enabled ISP’s, Hosting companies and Managed Service Providers who require a carrier class software infrastructure solution for their advanced messaging needs. Following a number of key successes in the North American market, and the companies desire to invest in seasoned sales professionals, Message Systems wants to aggressively capture wide scale adoption of our Message Management Platform in the current year and build a solid foundation for this aspect of our business. This role is critical to the success of the Service Provider business unit and requires a candidate willing to capture new business in a timely and aggressive manner.

Specific Responsibilities -

  • Manage the daily account activities with a primary objective of achieving booking targets
  • Develop account plans to maximize the companies position in the Service Provider market to include:
    • Current Solution Drivers and strategic objectives
    • Competitive presence
    • Multi Sponsor Identification & alignment strategies
    • Value propositions creation and contingency planning
    • Growth Strategies encompassing execution approaches
  • Understanding of account engagement processes with strategic account focus and tactical account selling principles
  • Interacts and facilitates internal relationships with peers and cross functional teams within the business including technical services and marketing
  • Efficiently establish yourself as a subject matter expert and become a trusted advisor
  • Capture and feedback market intelligence to the business for the success growth of product/partners/company

Qualifications -

  • 7 - 10 Years direct sales experience within the software industry and knowledge of either the ISP/Service Provider space and/or messaging solutions space
  • Must be well versed in multi sponsor solution sales with the ability to sell to both the business and technical community with a history of closing business
  • Previous experience working for a startup/medium sized privately held company or demonstrably suitable to work in a start up environment
  • Must have a proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Candidate will have capacity to process technical requirements/visions of prospective clients and ability to map solutions to solve both technical and business issues
  • Excellent written skills including proposal creation and presentation design
  • Solid understanding stakeholder interfacing ideally with experience applying this across divisions with emphasis on communicating with internal sponsors
  • Strong business sense, facilitation and communication, solution selling experience and negotiation skills ideally to both mid level and executive management
  • Ability to travel within US
  • Degree in Business, Economics, Marketing and/or technical discipline
  • Spanish language desirable but not required
