Message Systems the market leader in Advanced Message Management Solutions is looking for a sales leader to own and spear head our North American Service Provider sales organization. The role requires a proven sales expert with an ability to lead with results and manage the divisions overall success with focus on value/consultative sales. The candidate should have a personal desire to build a leading sales organization and input energy and commitment to the success of the division.

Utilizing a proven structured mentality in strategic account management in conjunction with advanced negotiation skills will be key to extending the companies success in this space and market making as the organization grows into new areas.

For over 12 years Message Systems has established itself as the leader in high performance Message Management Software that has enabled Carrier’s, Hosting companies, Managed Service Providers, and Large Enterprises who require a carrier class software infrastructure solution for their advanced messaging needs. Following a number of key successes in the North American market, and the companies desire to invest in seasoned sales management, Message Systems wants to continue to aggressively capture wide scale adoption of the Momentum Platform and build upon an already solid foundation for this aspect of our business. This role is critical to the success of the Momentum Platform business units exploitation of our expanding solution portfolio and requires a candidate willing to capture new business individually while managing and building a team for maximum effectiveness.

Specific Responsibilities -

  • Manage the daily operations of the group with a primary objective of achieving revenue targets.
  • Further develop and execute upon business plan to maximize the companies position in the Service Providers market. Consisting of Carrier, ISP, Hosting, Wireless Aggregators, Super Enterprise accounts based in North America.
  • Implement and manage a comprehensive sales management process with strategic account focus and tactical account selling principles
  • Develop comprehensive account plans for all target accounts to include:
    • Current Solution Drivers and strategic objectives
    • Competitive presence
    • Multi Sponsor Identification & alignment strategies
    • Value propositions creation and contingency planning
    • Growth Strategies encompassing execution approaches
  • Generate and own commercial models for maximum capture of revenues from target accounts
  • Interacts and manages relationships with peers and cross functional teams within the business including technical services and marketing
  • Efficiently establish yourself as a subject matter expert and leader within this space
  • Act as a strategic closer for accounts and manage complex negotiations
  • Implement a solid staff training structure and ensure high motivation levels of all concerned resources
  • Capture and feedback market intelligence to the business for the success growth of product/partners/company

Qualifications -

  • 7 - 10 Years direct sales experience within the software industry and knowledge of either the ISP/Carrier space or messaging solution space with a preference for both.
  • Must be well versed in multi sponsor solution sales with the ability to sell to both the business and technical community with a history of closing business
  • Candidate will have capacity to process technical requirements/visions of prospective clients and ability to map MS solutions to solve both technical and business issues
  • Excellent written skills including proposal creation and presentation design
  • Solid understanding stakeholder interfacing ideally with experience applying this globally and across divisions with emphasis on communicating with sales teams
  • Strong business sense, facilitation and communication, solution selling experience and negotiation skills ideally to both mid level and executive management
  • Ability to travel within US and occasionally International
  • Degree in Business, Economics, Marketing and/or technical discipline
