Sales Development Representative

Responsibilities
- Generate, develop and qualify leads to increase revenue opportunities for the US Enterprise Sales Team.
- Proactively contact target prospects via phone, email and social networking.
- Build rapport with prospects through a consultative solution sales approach.
- Identify and map prospects’ needs to Message Systems solutions.
- Present and articulate Message System’s value and obtain commitment to further evaluate our solutions.
- Present qualified opportunities to the outside sales executives, providing necessary meeting notes and company research.
- Maintain a solid understanding of our software solutions, competitors and industry trends.
- Work closely with the outside sales team to collaboratively develop territories and execute prospecting strategies.
- Submit weekly reports on prospecting activities.
- Limited travel to trade shows and conventions.
Required Skills
- Social media [LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc.] aware and proficient use of these tools to generate leads.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in conjunction with the outside sales team.
- Outstanding verbal communication, listening and writing skills.
- Professional, energetic, positive attitude.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Success-driven with a strong work ethic.
Qualifications
- 4 Year Degree (Bachelors or equivalent).
- At least 2 years experience working in a sales, sales-support or outbound call center role.
- Ability to work full time (40 hour work week).
- Operational knowledge of Apple OS X and Salesforce CRM preferred.
- Software sales experience a plus.
