EMEA Support Manager

Message Systems, a global company with offices in North America, Europe and Asia/Pacific, is seeking a qualified candidate to join its Technical Support staff. As a member of the Message Systems team, you will be part of a fast-paced, energetic group of technology professionals who are transforming the future of digital messaging.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day issues with EMEA Support.
  • Interact with US Support Manager.
  • Assure up-to-date product training of MS Products.
  • Ensure that all Issues are tracked in Salesforce.
  • Ensure Compliance with all Support SLAs.
  • Answer client configuration questions.
  • Answer Client Product Use questions.
  • Document any and all client communications in the SalesForce Ticketing systems.
  • Assist with customer integrations.
  • Provide complete remote MTA administration services including installation, configuration, maintenance, disaster recovery.
  • Maintain SLA compliance.
  • Interact with the engineering team to resolve problems with the products.
  • On-call rotation; 24x7x365 priority 1 (system down) support.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years experience with enterprise or carrier class e-mail infrastructure.
  • 1-3 years experience with sendmail, postfix, exim or qmail; must be able to install, configure and maintain one or more of these MTAs on Solaris and Linux.
  • Thorough knowledge of SMTP.
  • Quick and independent problem-solving ability.
  • Attention to detail and exceptional follow-up skills.
  • Passionate customer focus.
  • Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple simultaneous support issues.
  • 1-3 years Previous Management experience managing technical staff supporting end-users.

Desired Skills

  • Shell scripting.
  • Knowledge of POP, IMAP, LDAP, LMTP.
  • C, C++, Java and other web-related technologies (HTTP, HTML, web servers).
  • RDBMS knowledge (MySQL, Postgres, etc).
  • European Languages (Finish, Danish highly desired).
  • Previous EMEA support experience highly desired.
  • Previous ESP experience (Familiarity with Content Management Systems).

This is a full-time position based in the UK.
